Project Holiday
Project Holiday is a concept web and mobile app designed as part of my 2019 university studies. The premise is simple: an AI travel assistant that learns your preferences and surfaces holiday recommendations tailored to you. The catch? Before you book, it shows you the environmental cost of getting there. The app guides users through a conversational onboarding flow, gathering preferences around climate, activities, budget and travel style. From there it generates personalised destination recommendations with a twist each one comes paired with a carbon impact score, breaking down the footprint of your chosen destination and how you plan to get there. The goal was to explore how considered UX and AI-driven personalisation could be used not to up sell, but to inform. Can good design nudge people toward more conscious travel choices without lecturing them? That was the question driving every decision.
